A repair cafe is when volunteers come together to fix visitors things in a friendly cafe style setting. You can even just come along for a brew and a chat.
12:00 – 15:00 – Repair Cafe
15:00 – 16:00 – Open meeting about doing a regular repair cafe
Repair tables for this event
Laptops and Pcs and musical equipment
- Furniture, wooden goods and upholstery
- Textile clothes repairs – and jeans
- Household electric good, especially vintage
- Anything that can be repaired / waterproofed with resins and glues
Bonus family-friendly activities
Please do bring your children as there are family friendly activities going on.
Noisytoys – music and science show at 13.00 – 4+
“Unmaking” – i.e. taking broken things apart for fun (and learning) – all day – 7+
Please do bring things you know are broken, especially toys, printers or DVD players for the unmaking table. Email email@example.com if you can’t make it but want to donate.
Refreshments available for donations
This is our first repair cafe and we are finding our feet. Please do come along with your repairs and enjoy a cup of tea and a chat. We’ll do our best to fix what we can but please don’t be upset if we can’t fix it. We’ll make you a cup of tea all the same.
At the moment we don’t have any volunteers who can work with phones, tablets, heater, engines or bikes.
